Maximize College Savings and Get a Head Start with Resourceful High School Planning

💥 75,000 families. 50 states. 60 Facebook communities. 💥
We’ve helped thousands of parents take control, slash college costs, and give their teens a massive head start – all by bringing college credit into their homeschool program.

Best of all, we are a nonprofit organization, not a school, so we help you keep control of your homeschool program.

We teach resourceful high school planning.

Infographic detailing the college credit progress for homeschooling students, outlining three phases: Help Me Start, Help Me Grow, and Help Me Finish. Each phase includes strategies for selecting college courses and planning for high school credits.

Homeschool parents have full autonomy to choose their teens’ high school curriculum and high school credits. High school is NOT the best time to stop homeschooling, it’s actually the BEST time to start! High school is the best time to enhance your student’s homeschool program, begin thinking about a career, and look ahead to college.

Homeschooling for College Credit (HS4CC) is dedicated to helping you do that!

  1. Help me Start: You’ll learn the ropes of resourceful high school planning and pick your teen’s first three college classes.
  2. Help me Grow: As your teen starts to take college classes in high school, you’ll start “opening up” the options they have available, and gain traction.
  3. Help me Finish: With the end of high school coming soon and college credit on their transcript, this stage is when you’ll “narrow” your focus and plan to hit your target! Targets can include community college, university, trade school, apprenticeship, starting a business, military enlistment, ROTC, or more!

Frequently Asked Questions

  • How do I learn this? There are 4 things you should do immediately so you’re not learning things randomly. These items will ensure you’re well-prepared to develop a successful homeschool program.
  • How early? Our organization focuses on helping parents of high school-age students.
  • How smart? Teens of every ability level can earn college credit- even students who need learning accommodations.
  • How many credits? Most HS4CC parents report their students completed one or more years of college before graduating from high school!
  • Which subjects? Literally, any subject you can think of is probably available to your teen! You can choose religious or secular programs for your teen.
  • Cost? College tuition during high school is a fraction of what you’ll pay after high school. Options range from free to several hundred dollars per course.
  • Graduate early? No! Graduating means your teen will have to pay full price. Instead of graduating early, we encourage you to use the high school years to stock up on college credit at a reduced price.
    • PRO TIP: Check to see if your state has homeschool high school graduation requirements. If it does, you must integrate those into your Homeschooling for College Credit program. If yours doesn’t, you have total autonomy with your HS4CC program and the courses you choose.
  • Degree planning? Some students accumulate college credit to use after high school at college, while others earn a degree during high school. There are pros and cons to either approach. You can decide later which makes the most sense for your family.

We call the first few college classes your “Spark Stage” because that’s when you must light the spark in your teen. An unmotivated teen can be motivated, and a highly motivated teen can be very successful! The most important aspect of building a successful Homeschooling for College Credit plan is whether or not your teen is on board. We have some really important advice to help you make sure that happens. Take our free, short mini-class and light the spark! Spark Stage Help Me Start.
