Wescott Courses

Credit laundering is a sub-type of RA graded credit that occurs when credit from a non-college source is “laundered” from its original source of credit to “appear” as if it originated from an authentic Regionally Accredited college or university. Credit laundering is incredibly rare.

Wescott Courses are a STEM goldmine for learners looking for a self-paced online option.

Through their partnership with UMass Global, your student’s credits will appear on a UMass Global transcript, not a Wescott Courses transcript.  The course tuition structure is all-inclusive, so there is no textbook to purchase or lab kit to buy, and the cost is not broken down per credit. Some resources used in some courses are “open source” and not created by Wescott. Students who want to participate will need a valid government-issued ID and plan to use a local Sylvan Learning Center for their final exam. Courses are approximately $500-800, placing them on the more expensive side for college credit, but their course list is very unique and offers advanced math and science not usually available to high school students.
