Under 13? Read Our Posting Policy

At Homeschooling for College Credit (HS4CC), student safety and privacy are always our top priorities. If your college credit earner is under age 13, please note: we do not allow posts, photos, or discussions that identify students under 13. Please read.

Our Child Protection Policy ensures compliance with federal regulations and protects young learners’ identities in our online community.

You’ll see HS4CC use the word “teen” in all publications, we intentionally do not use the word “child” in our content.

HS4CC Child Posting & Protection Policy

At Homeschooling for College Credit (HS4CC), student safety and privacy are top priorities. Our Child Protection Policy ensures compliance with federal regulations and protects young learners’ identity in our online community.

📌 COPPA Compliance

  • In accordance with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA), photos of students under age 13 are not allowed.
  • Blurring faces or using stickers is not an acceptable workaround.

📌 Posting, Commenting, and Discussions About Very Early College Credit

  • Discussions about earning college credit should not include the age of students under 13.
  • Privacy-protecting language “pre-teen” or “pre-high school,” should be used instead of “my 6th grader” or “my 11-year-old.”
  • Moderators will remove posts or comments referencing young children.

Thank you for helping us maintain a safe, respectful, and compliant space for all HS4CC families!
