Since November 2025, we have been able to bring you multiple options for your family. College credit during high school is never a one-size-fits-all approach, so we can help you decide which option makes the most sense.
- Are you only interested in high school credit? (YELLOW) We want to help your family earn college credit during high school, but if you’re not ready for that, there are many college options that are low-cost and open enrollment. In addition to using Arizona State University, we also recommend free programs like edX who partner with dozens of excellent colleges and universities to provide courses for free. Be aware that Universal Learner Courses will allow you to decide after the class if you’d like the course recorded as college credit.
- Are you pursuing college credit? (RED) We offer two enrollment doors that lead to college credit.
- The first is what we call “on you own” and allows you to opt out of college credit at any time. This pathway breaks down the cost into 2 payments: the first is paid when you register ($25), and the second when you finish ($400). The advantage of this option is a very low cost to sign up and get started. If you do not pay the $400 at the end, your student won’t have college credit, but you can still award high school credit.
- The second option is using our discount pricing. Billing works like a “regular” dual enrollment course, but with the added advantage of discounted pricing and a safety net! You pay when you enroll, but if your student fails or doesn’t finish, you can still choose not to have it on their record. The best plan is to choose well and pick a course that aligns with your student’s strengths. We are happy to hep you pick your courses to set your student up for success.
