Graduating from Homeschool in 2026?

Every year, I am honored to celebrate with families that have been in the Homeschooling for College Credit and are moving on to the next stage of their lives. Many go to college, some start a business, others go into service. When someone graduates, they usually leave our little community, and I am so proud! Before you leave, I invite you to leave a small legacy for those following in your footsteps. Your story is inspirational, and I would love to feature it in our Happy Stories section. There are a few of you with specific types of homeschooling situations that homeschooling parents need to hear from! (See below)

Learning Challenges

If your student has learning challenges or special needs, but they were able to complete a college class, can you tell a little about that? Were there accommodations offered through the college, or did you find a way to earn college credit without using a college? So many parents ask about this. Please consider sharing how your student earned college credit during high school.

    Stretching Your Budget

If you live in a state where dual enrollment is expensive, how did you stretch your buget to earn college credit? Did you find low-cost options, or did you adjust your lifestyle? What did you do that might work for someone else, too?

    Earned 30 College Credits

If your student earned a year of college credit in high school, we need to talk about this extraordinary accomplishment! When did you start planning, and how did you bring college credit into your homeschool so it wasn’t overwhelming?

    Selective Admissions

Is your student attending a college or university that accepts fewer than 50% of applicants? This is a huge goal of many families. What did you do in your homeschool to help your student secure this opportunity?

Send your story to Jennifer Cook-DeRosa at cookderosa@hs4cc.org

Include your first name, the student’s first name, and the state where you Homeschool for College Credit. I am happy to publish a student or family photo if you include one.
