The monthly scholarship post is back! Sorry for the hiccup in the scheduled posts, but life got in the way. Never fear! There’s some scholarships available to apply for in July. Summer scholarship deadlines are not as numerous as other months, but I was still able to find some unique opportunities for scholarships to pass along thanks to jlvcollegecounseling (By the way, October and March are especially large scholarship opportunity months.) Beginning in September I will return to reviewing scholarship search engines and websites.

JMJ Phillip Group College Scholarships

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors who will be majoring in STEM (science, technology, engineering, or math).

Macy’s Mission Every One Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to African American incoming and current college students who are/will be attending a HBCU during the upcoming academic year. Applicant must have at least a 2.5 GPA.

Conflict Conquerer Scholarship

Closing Date: July 7, 2025
Description: Scholarship is open to incoming and current undergraduate students with at least a 3.5 GPA and are citizens or permanent residents of the United States. Applicant must submit an essay on the following prompt: “Describe a time in your life when you experienced conflict. Please elaborate on the steps you took to resolve the conflict and what you learned from the experience.”

Description: Scholarship is open to students currently attending or planning on attending college or graduate school in during the upcoming academic year. Applicant must submit an essay or video on what positive change they are working to bring to their community this year.

Mesothelioma Cancer Victims Memorial Scholarships

Description: Scholarship is open to students accepted to a U.S. based four-year university or current college students. Applicant must submit an essay or a video on how cancer has impacted their life (any cancer).

Financial Empowerment Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to students who can demonstrate plans to enroll for full-time admission, or have proof of current full-time enrollment, at an accredited institution. Applicant must submit a completed application, an essay on a given topic related to financial literacy, and an official transcript.

GeneTex Scholarship Program

Description: Scholarship is open to students pursuing a STEM undergraduate or graduate degree. Scholarship is open to international students. The scholarship will be awarded to one student twice a year.

MFMA Scholarship

Description: Scholarship is open to graduating high school seniors and current students who will be enrolled during the next academic year in secondary, advanced, or trade school education.
