The Only Dual Enrollment Program with an Academic Safety Net

Dual enrollment programs come with risk. When your teen takes a college class, the grade they earn becomes part of their permanent college record forever. For some teens, this is no problem, but for most homeschoolers, the first few dual enrollment courses feel very risky. The idea that a single course grade could follow them for life can feel intimidating.

Arizona State University has solved this risk by being the only university in the country to offer grade point average protection. In other words, at the end of the semester, if you don’t like your grade, you simply choose not to have it added as part of the student’s college transcript. No blemishes on their record, no lowering GPA, and no future college admissions disclosure is required- their grade is purged from the system.

This academic safety net gives parents the confidence to allow their teens to try a college course without academic consequences. In every other case, any grade your student earns or even if they withdrawal from a course, there is an academic record that must be disclosed to future colleges.

We have been working with Arizona State University for many years to help Homeschooling for College Credit families learn about this very rare gem of a program available for dual enrollment. We have a robust community of ASU parents using this program in their homeschool, and I’m really excited to announce that as of November 1st, we are now offering a second enrollment option with a lower price.

If you are in the least bit nervous about your teen taking college classes, I urge you to consider ASU for the grade point average protection it offers.
